Tommy Wieringa


In 1995 Tommy Wieringa (1967) debuted with the novel Dormantique's manco. His breakthrough came with Alles over Tristan (All About Tristan, 2002), which was awarded the Halewijn Prize and nominated for the AKO Literature Prize. His next novel, Joe Speedboot (2005), has also become very successful: it won him the F. Bordewijk Prize and has been sold to more than 10 countries. During his two residencies at Het Beschrijf he worked on Ik was nooit in Isfahaan (I've Never Been to Isfahan, 2006), a collection of travel stories and the novel Caesarion (2009).
