Els Moors


The Flemish author Els Moors (1976) studied at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. She now lives and works in Brussels. Following the initial publishing of a poem in the Flemish journal yang, she made her debut with the volume Er hangt een hoge lucht boven ons, which in 2007 was awarded the Herman de Coninck Prize for the best Flemish poetry debut. 2008 saw the publication of her first novel Het verlangen naar een eiland.
