Margot Vanderstraeten

Biography

Margot Vanderstraeten (b.1967, Hasselt) is a Belgian writer and journalist at De Morgen newspaper. In 2003 she won the Debut Prize for her novel Alle Mensen Bijten (All People Bite), followed by De vertraging (The delay) (Querido, 2005) and Mise-en-place (Atlas, 2010).

In Schrijvers gaan niet dood (Writers do not Die) (Atlas, 2008) she bundled together seventeen interviews with Dutch authors from the last generation (Harry Mulisch, Remco Campert, Jef Geeraerts, Ward Ruyslinck, Ivo Michiels, Hella Haasse, Jos Vandeloo, Leo Vroman, Paul de Wispelaere, Willy Spillebeen, Willem van Maanen, Armando, Aster Berkhof, Hugo Raes, Christine D'haen, Henk Romijn Meijer, Simon Vinkenoog).
