Gintaras Grajauskas

Gintaras Grajauskas (1966), the Lithuanian vocalist and bass guitarist of The Rockefellers, made his writing debut in 1993 with the award-winning poetry collection Tatuiruote (Tattoo). He is also an essayist and cultural journalist. He started as a poet after a period when poetry in Lithuania had once again sought aestheticism and decadentism, but he himself had more affinity with modernism. During his stay in Flanders, he wrote the play A Girl Whom God Was Afraid Of, which in 2008 was awarded Lithuania's most important drama prize.
