Nedim G├╝rsel


Nedim Gürsel (1951) is lauded in Turkey for his critical stance and the innovative power of his prose. Following some time in Berlin, he settled in Paris, where he teaches at the University of Paris III and the Ecole des Langues orientales. As a novelist, he has been writing for some time in both Turkish and French. In 2004, his autobiography Au pays des poissons captifs. Une enfance turque, was released in France and Turkey. During his stay in Brussels, he worked on the collection of travel stories Ízler ve gölgeler (De ville en ville, Seuil, 2007), which opens with a piece on Brussels.
