Käsmu - Writers' and Translators' House

Käsmu is situated on one of the peninsulas along the north coast of Estonia, 75 km east of Tallinn. This fishing and boat-building village, known as ‘the Captain's village' is situated on the edge of Lahemaa, a wooded national park. The writers' quarters provide the resident with a private workspace, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is shared with the other residents.

This biennial exchange takes place in collaboration with the Estonian Literature Centre.
